MATH TUTOR
At Artino, the tutors are the life and blood of our operation. Without the tutors, we can't operate.
The tutors assist students with the following courses: 150, 173, 180, 185, 190, 195, 205, 209, 201, 212, 213, 346, and 391. We also welcome applicants with experience tutoring ECO (Economics) or CSC (Computer Science) courses as Math is an intrinsic part of these majors. This is a great opportunity to strengthen your own understanding of math while building valuable leadership, teaching, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for students seeking help in mathematics.
Prepare and review materials related to course content.
Assist tutees in developing a deeper understanding of concepts, solving problems, and preparing for tests and exams.
Foster a supportive and positive learning environment and adapt to different learning styles and paces.
Participate in training sessions to enhance tutoring practices and learn new tutoring techniques.
Help students develop study strategies and organizational skills to promote academic success.
INFORMATION ASSISTANT
The Information Assistants are the support system that ensure the center runs stable, organized, and smoothly. They are the first point of contact for students with any questions or concerns that they may need assistance with. The assistants report to the FWS supervisors and are required to exercise effective communication and perform daily administrative tasks including scheduling, data entry, organization, etc. Information Assistants manage the traffic flow, sign students in, and keep track of tutoring sessions. They also provide students with information about other relevant workshops and programs provided by the Artino Mathematics Tutoring Center and support our marketing and social media team.
Responsibilities:
Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy to maintain and update student and session records in our databases.
Generate and distribute flyers and other promotional materials to advertise tutoring services across campus.
Handle the logistical aspects of making copies, preparing meeting materials, and organizing digital and physical files.
Utilize basic office equipment and software to execute daily tasks.
Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase awareness and participation in tutoring programs.
Provide administrative support to the tutoring team, including scheduling, correspondence, and managing inquiries.
Maintain a tidy and organized office environment to ensure a professional workspace.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving service efficiency and outreach.
